“Arthur Carmazzi – The Truth about Becoming a Change Leader” - Professor M.S.Rao

These days education has is different that it was just a few years ago, people are being educated on the mobile with video and learning is small bite-sized learning sessions. Many trainers, teachers and consultants have not yet caught up with the trend. And in a world of change, especially those who teach leadership and change, it seems that many, well, have not changed.

But one shining star is not only is up with the trends, but changing organizations around the world, including India. He is Leadership Guru Arthur Carmazzi and his YouTube channel Arthur Carmazzi TV provides some of the best Leadership and Organisational Change videos I have ever seen.

Arthur Carmazzi is the founder if the Directive Communication Organisational Development psychology is a personal mentor and has the attitude of gratitude, although he has achieved so much in his life, he remembers where he came from and still maintains his humble attitude. He shares his ideas on Change Leadership freely and is always willing to help others grow. All this in an entertaining and passionate way.

So what is the truth about becoming a change leader? If we follow Arthur Carmazzi’s example,
-          We should act on what we teach
-          We should keep up with the relevant trends
-          We should be outstanding, do more than is expected
-          We make others successful in the process of achieving our objective
-          have fun
There is much wisdom in these videos and I do hope you visit the channel Arthur Carmazzi TV

“Show Where The Fish Is!” - Professor M.S.Rao

“It is the responsibility of leadership to provide opportunity, and the responsibility of individuals to contribute.” - William Pollard

I was in Kuala Lumpur to preside as a judge for Global Leadership Awards (GLA) – 2012, Malaysia on 20 April, 2012.  I met my friend, Norman who spoke with great interest about showing the fish to the people.  I was impressed with his thoughts.  As a leadership educator and author I am curious to listen and learn from everyone, and I often talk of teaching people how to catch fish so that they learn the art of fishing and catch fishes regularly and enjoy good meal.  My aim is to make people confident and independent in my training and teaching programs. I decided to write about showing where the fish is, which is beyond the conventional wisdom of teaching people how to catch fish.

In fact, there are a number of opportunities lying hidden and people often don’t know how to spot and exploit them. I have seen a number of people in my life who are very intelligent and hard working but remain in the same position as they don’t think unconventionally to spot opportunities. People often have pre-conceived notions and fixed mindset, and work within the limited sphere thus not channeling their hidden talents and potential properly. Often I find people blaming circumstances for their problems without searching for solutions. They blame people around, and often the God for their problems. They must know a famous quote in this context: “When God solves your problems, you have faith in his abilities….When He doesn’t solve your problems, He has faith in your abilities…”

People must stop criticizing, condemning and complaining about circumstances.  They must learn to view problems as prospects, and must act as per the prevailing circumstances and search for opportunities out of threats, and exploit the same to grow rapidly. Above all, they must learn the fact that it is not good to take fish from someone every time; it is good to learn the art of fishing; it is great to spot where the fish is and enjoy it; and it is greater if they show people where the fish is so that people thank and express their gratitude.  Hence, keep spotting opportunities, enjoy reaping the rewards and show the way for others to make a difference.

“We Help Solve Your Problems” - Professor M.S.Rao

“In a day, when you don’t come across any problems, then you can be sure that you are traveling in the wrong path...” - John F. Kennedy

Do you have personal problems? Do you have professional problems? Do you have family problems? Do you have any other problems? Then we will discuss your problems in this forum to generate more solutions from the participating members thus creating viable and practical solutions to your problems.

Problems cannot be solved when you keep within yourself. You must air your problems with your near and dear ones to unburden your problems and to find proper solutions.  In fact, we all have several challenges in our lives.  Some face squarely and come out of them quickly while some need support and solutions to solve them.  It all depends on the mindset and attitude of the individual.

Mark Victor Hansen once remarked, "Problems are good, not bad. Welcome them and become the solution. When you have solved enough problems, people will thank you."  You must learn one thing in life that problems are part of life and they bring out the best within you. Problems discover the real stamina within you which lies hidden untried and untested. It is rightly said, ‘when God solves your problems, you have faith in his abilities….When He doesn’t solve your problems, He has faith in your abilities…”  Therefore, view problems with a positive attitude and remember that every problem provides prospects for progress.

Hence, post your problems in this forum for discussion unburden yourself, and we help solve your problems with an open mind and with viable and feasible solutions.  Remember what Arnold Glasow said: "One of the tests of leadership is the ability to recognize a problem before it becomes an emergency."

Looking forward to posting your problems.
