“Dear Educators! Do You Teach the Art of Catching Fish to Students?” - Professor M.S.Rao

“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” - Lao Tzu

Educators must teach students how to catch fish. When educators do so, students express their gratitude to educators forever. Because when educators teach students the art of catching fish students don’t have to approach educators every time for fish as students themselves can catch fish and enjoy the meal. They become independent.  Nikos Kazantzakis quoted, "Ideal teachers are those who use themselves as bridges over which they invite their students to cross, then having facilitated their crossing, joyfully collapse, encouraging them to create bridges of their own." Hence, educators must become bridges for students and after the students cross they must collapse. In the present context, the educators must go beyond teaching the art of catching fish to students. They must show the location of the fishes to the students so that students lead better life than educators. To conclude, educators must teach the art of catching fish to students and also show the location of fish to enable students to fast-track their careers.

"Men make history and not the other way around. In periods where there is no leadership, society stands still. Progress occurs when courageous, skillful leaders seize the opportunity to change things for the better." — Harry Truman
