“3:5:7:10 Principle for Your Success” - Professor M.S.Rao

Dear Friends,

Happy New Year 2012!

Thanks for your continued support in reading my blog and providing your valuable comments.

Here is the success principle to achieve all round success not only in the year 2012 but also in your entire life. It is known as 3:5:7:10 success principle. When you want to achieve success you need to set your goals properly. Once you set your goals it becomes easier for you to accomplish whatever you desire. In fact, goals help you remove negative thoughts, manage your time effectively, stay focused and enhance longevity as you aspire to achieve them. In order to accomplish your goals, it is essential to write rather than think as written goals are more effective than the unwritten goals and they keep you aligned firmly towards your goals.

When you want to achieve audacious goals first find out your passions and work on it continuously for 3 years so that you can acquire requisite knowledge and competence in that area. If you continue putting your efforts up to 5 years you will have recognition at your regional level in your area of expertise. If you continue putting efforts up to 7 years you will be recognized at the national level in your area of interest. And finally, if you extend your sincere efforts consistently up to 10 years then you will be able to brand yourself globally and succeed as an international expert in your area. Hence, on the eve of this New Year 2012 set your goals based on this success principle and you will be amazed to find yourself as an international expert in your area of interest by 2022.

“All who have accomplished great things have had a great aim, have fixed their gaze on a goal which was high, one which sometimes seemed impossible.” - Orison Swett Marden

Good luck!

“Managing People During Failures” - Professor M.S.Rao

“It's fine to celebrate success but it is more important to heed the lessons of failure.” - Bill Gates

When things are going good any one can lead successfully. When the ship is sailing smoothly any captain can sail it successfully. However, when faced with storm the real captains come to the fore and steer the ship successfully to the shore.

There are leaders who proved their leadership abilities when things were going good. However, they failed miserably when things went awry thus hitting rock bottom. When we look at leaders like Abraham Lincoln, he was an amazing example of taking the leadership baton when America was passing through a major crisis of North vs. South and sailing smoothly by demonstrating extraordinary leadership qualities and maintaining the unity of America. He also managed slavery and played a crucial role in abolition of slavery.

When political leaders remain in opposition it is tough to maintain their flock together as the ruling party attracts the key people from opposition to break the ranks and join the ruling political parties. The political leaders need to demonstrate their true leadership skills and constantly motivate their cadre to stay disciplined. They must raise hope among their party people for staging back to power. Of course, it is easier said than done to retain flock intact especially when the political parties are in opposition.

There will be a section of people who will also demotivate the people when the political party in opposition. Besides, problems come in battalions during failures. The leaders must spot such people and show the door as they spoil the rest of the people. They must continuously motivate themselves as well as their flock during failures to ensure victory finally. In fact, tough times are great times to learn lessons for leaders and to bring out the best among them. Hence, leaders must be careful during failures to charge up themselves constantly and also their followers to achieve success finally.
